QissaQuest Privacy Policy

Effective 26 August 2026

QissaQuest collects nothing. No personal information, no usage analytics, no advertising identifiers, no crash reports. There is no account to create and no name to enter. The app contains no networking code of any kind, so there is no server for your child's information to be sent to.

What the app stores, and where

QissaQuest saves two things, and both stay on the device in the app's own private storage:

That is the entire contents. Deleting the app deletes both. Neither is backed up to us, because there is no "us" to back it up to.

The microphone and your child's voice

One activity asks the child to say an Arabic letter out loud. This is the only part of the app that uses the microphone, and it does so only while the child is holding a listening session open, for a few seconds at a time.

Your child's voice never leaves the device. Speech recognition on iOS can run either on the device or on Apple's servers. QissaQuest asks iOS whether on-device recognition is available for Arabic before it does anything:

Audio is held in memory only for the moment it is being recognised. It is never written to a file, never saved, and never transmitted. Nothing about what your child said is stored after the activity ends.

iOS asks for microphone and speech recognition permission the first time the activity runs. If you decline, everything else in the app continues to work.

No third parties

QissaQuest embeds no third-party software: no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, no crash reporter, no social login, no cloud sync. The app links only against Apple's own system frameworks. Nobody else receives anything, because nothing is sent.

Children

QissaQuest is made for young children learning the Arabic alphabet. Because the app collects no personal information at all, there is nothing about a child to disclose, sell, or share, and there is no profile being built. There are no in-app purchases, no advertisements, and no links out to the web from inside the app.

Your rights

There is no data of yours in our hands to access, correct, export, or delete — we hold none. To remove everything the app has saved on the device, delete the app.

Changes to this policy

If the app ever changes in a way that affects this policy, this page will be updated and the effective date above will change. A change that introduced any collection of information would be announced in the app's release notes, not made quietly.
